Singer Rikki Ansell is asking readers for their vote as he heads for the final five in the BBC's popular Last Choir Standing contest.
Rikki, 19, from St Neots, is one of 35 members of The Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) Gospel Choir, in Guildford, where he has just completed his first year of a course in vocal performance.

The choir have sung their way to the finishing stages of the competition and will be performing on Saturday's live programme at 6.15pm to see who goes through to the semi-final stage.

Rikki, a former Longsands College pupil, is now rehearsing six days a week for the show.

He said: "It's a brilliant opportunity and we are having an amazing time. I don't want it to stop.

"Although it's a competition, all we want to do is give people some fun and joy. If we go out this week then at least we have done our job."
