A spate of thefts, burglaries and incidents of anti-social behaviour has been recorded in Eynesbury in the past week.
Four burglaries, three in Eynesbury and another in Eaton Ford, have been committed during the day.

Each of the properties was entered via a rear door, some of which were not locked. Items stolen included a lap top, digital camera, games console, jewellery and cash.

Meanwhile, there have been six thefts from vehicles and four attempted vehicle break-ins overnight in areas including Duck Lane and Potton Road.

Items including a lap top computer, handbag and mobile phone were stolen.

There have also been incidents of anti-social behaviour, from mid to late evening, in the Duck Lane, Mallard Lane and Henbrook areas. Youths are believed to be behind damage to vehicles, properties and a brick wall.

Sector Inspector Mark Woolner said officers were investigating possible links between the offences.

He said: "This increase in crime is unacceptable, but residents can rest assured it is now a priority for police in the area and extra officers are being brought in to tackle it.

"I would urge residents and motorists to take all reasonable precautions and anyone with information to contact police."
