Deadline day for consultation on walk-in health centre
Published Date:

The deadline for comments on the new GP-led extended hours health centre in St Neots is Monday, July 21 at 5pm.
Over the last six weeks, Cambridgeshire Primary Care Trust has been seeking the views of the people of St Neots and surrounding villages about the new GP-Led health centre.
The consultation ends on Monday 21 July at 5pm and the Trust is encouraging people to let them know what type of service they would like to see at the new health centre.
The new health centre is expected to have extended opening hours from 8am until 8pm, offering a walk-in and appointment system, giving greater access to primary care for the people of St Neots and surrounding villages.
There is also the possibility of additional services including minor injuries or health advice if people would find them useful.
Cambridgeshire Primary Care Trust has held four public meetings about the new health centre and has presented the proposals to St Neots Town Council. There has also been a telephone survey and an online response form.
There is still time to respond online at www.cambridgeshirepct.nhs.uk and clicking on current consultations and A new medical centre for St Neots.
You can also let us know your views by calling Chris or Sue 01223 884 438/418. There are questionnaire booklets at the Priory Centre and local public buildings if you want to post these in.
Assistant director of primary care at Cambridgeshire Primary Care Trust Matthew Smith said: "We have heard many different views about the location of the new health centre and the types of services people want to see and this will help us a great deal in our planning.
"The new GP-Led health centre is a real opportunity for St Neots and we believe it will deliver greater access to good quality health services for the people of St Neots. Don't miss out on shaping your local health services. Let us know what you would like to see and how you might use the new health centre."
