Woman, 73, dies following crash

BREAKING NEWS 10AM: A 73-year-old woman has died from injuries she suffered in a car crash last week.
Police today appealed for witnesses to the collision on the B1043 Old North Road, at its junction with the north entrance to Redwings Service Area, at Sawtry, at about 2pm on Wednesday (April 30).

It involved a silver Toyota Yaris and a red Rover 45.

The passenger in the Rover, Rose Ann Ward, aged 73, of Emery Close, Brampton, suffered serious injuries and was initially taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital, in Huntingdon, but later transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

However, her condition deteriorated and she died on Saturday morning.

The driver of the Rover, a 73-year-old man from Brampton, suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the Toyota, a 34-year-old woman from Huntingdon, and her passenger, also a woman from Huntingdon, suffered minor injuries.
