Huntingdon MP Jonathan Djanogly was in Downing Street this week to hand in a petition of 8,000 signatures against the Post Office programme of closures.
Mr Djanogly was accompanied by North West Cambs MP Shailesh Vara MP, Huntingdonshire District Council leader Cllr Ian Bates and councillors Steve Criswell and Susan Normington, and representatives from the affected villages of Catworth and Great Stukeley.

Urging residents to respond to the consultation, Mr Djanogly said: "I firmly believe that this Government has presided over a huge attack on rural life. Post offices represent much more to local communities than just a shop."

>> The consultation runs until August 26. Send responses to National Consultation Team, Post Office Ltd, FREEPOST CONSULTATION TEAM or email consultation@postoffice.co.uk
