Members of the public are being asked their views on the future of the St Neots Boxing Club.
The club says it is in a "moral dilemma" as it could re-open immediately – but would be forced to charge people £3-£4 per session.
The committee is now appealing for readers to get in touch with their opinions.

The options are to either open immediately at a venue such as the Priory Centre and charge participants £3-4 per session, or to hold out for a more affordable venue which would see juniors being charged just £1 a session and seniors £2-£3.

The club, which was forced to close when its previous home at the old youth centre was burned down, says it believes that lower fees would generate interest from the wider community. However, it wants to find out if the public feels the same way.
Club assistant coach and secretary Kevin Bullus said people often ask what is happening with the club.

He said: "As it stands we could open the club immediately providing we charge every person £3-£4 per session.
"But we want to run the club two nights a week, with an hour each for juniors and seniors and doubt whether many parents could budget for an extra £6-£8 per week in the current climate.

"The committee are in agreement that a fee of £1 for juniors and £2-£3 for seniors is far more appropriate, but welcome views from the public on the matter; perhaps through the local newspapers or by contacting the club.

"Despite the fantastic sight of local lad Mark Foster carrying the GB flag at the Beijing Olympics this week, in many sports we bemoan the lack of talent from the region.
"Yet often the youngsters with real promise are priced out of competing at an organised level. St Neots Boxing Club has a good reputation on the national amateur boxing scene, going back to the early 1970s.
"Many clubs and officials have welcomed the news of our return and are looking forward to inviting us back into the tournaments."

The club says it is still in a position of limbo despite further political and financial backing over the last two months.
The club has received a written letter of support from Huntingdon MP Jonathan Djanogly and the continued backing of town Mayor Cllr Bob Eaton.
Cambridgeshire County Council had also informed the committee that the club will receive compensation for the loss of equipment after the fire which destroyed the old youth centre.

Despite recent news regarding uncertainly over the future use of the Bargrove Centre the club is still hoping to be able to use the venue at some point, due to its ideal location, although any venue will be considered.
