This village show is Wyrd-ly funny - it's a Terry Pratchett tale!
A wicked Duke and Duchess, a reluctant Fool, the ghost of a murdered King and three witches - no it's not Macbeth, but something equally enthralling.
Terry Pratchett's Discworld novel, Wyrd Sisters, has been adapted for the stage by Stephen Briggs and is now being performed by Staughton Stagers this May.
If you are a fan of the Discworld series of novels and plays then you will be aware of Pratchett's enigmatic and irreverent humour and brilliant writing.
With a land in peril, who stands between the Kingdom and destruction? Three witches. Granny Weatherwax (intolerant, self-opinionated, powerful), Nanny Ogg (down-to-earth, vulgar) and Magrat Garlick (naive, fond of occult jewellery and bunnies).
The play is at Great Staughton village hall from Thursday, May 15, to Saturday, May 17, at 7.30pm.
>> Tickets are available from Barratts in St Neots, The Post Office in Great Staughton (01480 869289) and the Butcher's shop, The Highway, Great Staughton. Tickets cost £4 per adult and £3.50 per child.
