Fabulous summer concert with West End stars comes to village

A fabulous summer music concert with opera and concert stars from London's West End is coming to Offord Darcy.
The concert is being held at St Peter's Church on Saturday, June 7, and will star Morag McLaren, Theresa Goble, Michael Dore, Brian Parsons and the musical director, Michael Robinson.

These names will be familiar to everyone who has gone to watch shows in London's West End and who listen to BBC Radio 2's Friday Night is Music Night.

Garden fun
Green-fingered residents will be in heaven next month when the annual Open Garden event takes place in Eaton Socon and Eaton Ford.
On Sunday, June 8, participants can spend the afternoon looking around gardens, learning a little more about plants and raising money for local children's groups.

Anyone wishing to enter their garden for the charity event should call Collette on 01480 403343 or Sue on 01480 216065.
Gardens will be open from 2pm till 5pm and programmes will be available on Eaton Socon village green, outside St Mary's Church, Great North Road, from around 1.30pm.

Island of treasures
Well-known adventure story Treasure Island is coming to Cambridge Arts Theatre.

It runs from Tuesday, June 3, to Saturday, June 7, at 2pm and 7pm.
Tickets are £10 schools, £12 children, £16 adults and £45 for a family ticket and available on 01223 503333.
