If you like a bit of buffoonery - Mitchell and Webb as well as Spike Milligan in the best tradition of eccentricity - then according to "The Stage" you'll love I Lear.
This hilarious new show is coming to The Commemoration Hall, High Street, Huntingdon before its West End run at the Trafalgar Studios.
Performed by The Black Sheep Theatre Company, they claim their acting will not impress you - it will uplift and entertain you in a feast of theatre, culminating in a rendition of King Lear that will leave you in tears.
Fantastically original, they condense a lifetime's worth of roles into a single evening in this anarchic character comedy. It'll all end in tragedy that's for sure.
This new show is directed by the award-winning Cal McCrystal, best known for his work with The Mighty Boosh, Cirque du Soleil, and Peepolykus.
Watch in wonderment as they treat you to their unique interpretations of scenes from Britain's greatest playwrights - and one or two foreigners.
The show culminates in a truly unforgettable and startling reworking of King Lear. You'll never look at theatre in the same way again.
>> Suitable for 12 years and over, the show takes place on Friday, June 6, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £8.50, concessions £7.50, and available by calling 01480 455167 or at The Card Gallery, High Street, Huntingdon.
