Two victims of head-on crash are named

Two people who died following a head-on car crash on the A428 in Bedford have been named.
Anji Read, 33, of Kings Road, Eaton Socon was driving a Honda S200 when it was involved in an accident on Thursday (September 4).

The passenger was Lee Joseph, 35, of Roman Way, Godmanchester.

The pair were travelling east away from Bedford at 8pm and had just passed the Norse Road/A428 roundabout, when their car crossed onto the westbound carriageway and collided with a Vauxhall Frontera.

They were both pronounced dead at the scene, with the cause of death given as multiple injuries. An inquest has been opened and adjourned.

The female driver of the Vauxhall was taken to Bedford Hospital South Wing by ambulance suffering a suspected fractured collar bone.
